Obituary for Richard L. Gerstner Richard L. Gerstner, 67, Lebanon, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018. He was the devoted husband of Carol A (Kane) Gerstner, with whom he celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary in October. He was born in Lebanon on May 12, 1951, son of the late John and Gladys (Shutter) Gerstner.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two loving children and their spouses: Nathan and wife, Tara Gerstner of Cleona, PA; Amanda and husband Jeff Beck of Arlington, VA. He also had two grandsons, Frederick and George Gerstner, which he greatly adored and who lovingly referred to him as “Dada Dick”. He is also survived by sisters Donna, wife of Mike Serrano, and Cheryl Gerstner.

He was retired from the USPS with 30 years of service and had previously worked as a printer at the Lebanon Daily News for several years. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church and active in their men’s group. There will not be a viewing.

A memorial service will be held at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church, 534 E. Lehman St., Lebanon, PA, on Sunday, December 16, at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church or to the Hershey Medical Center Care Fund, secure. ddar.
