Richard P. Shibilsky, 85, of Greensburg, died Saturday, May 26, 2018 at home. He was born April 8, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Michael and Julia (Kotarski) Shibilsky.

Prior to retirement he had been employed by Davis Supermarket for more than 40 years. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg, a longtime member of the Fox Hill Club and was an Army veteran serving in the Korean Conflict. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Florence Bickel and Jean Shibilsky.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret A. (Nalevanko) Shibilsky; 3 daughters, Sandra Zyvith and her husband Richard of Bovard, Carol “Carrie” Boord and her companion Tony of Greensburg and Joyce Shibilsky of Polk; 3 grandchildren, Bryan Zyvith (Casey), Kelsey Boord (James) and Adam Zyvith (Cheryl); 2 great grandchildren, Marra and Aubrey Zyvith; his brother, Edward Shibilsky and his wife Evelyn of Maryland; his sister, Esther Soblesky of North Carolina; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.

A funeral liturgy will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM Wednesday. Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post 33, Greensburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nicholson Cancer Fund, 2511 Springfield Pike, Connellsville, PA 15425.
