Richard B. “Ricky” Jones January 1, 1957 – September 17, 2018 Asheville: Richard B. “Ricky” Jones, 61, of Asheville, NC went home to be with his Heavenly Father early Monday morning, September 17th, 2018 at the J.F. Keever Solace Center. Ricky was born in Buncombe County on January 1, 1957 to the late James and Pearl (Sheldon) Jones and was one of five children. He leaves behind his loving wife, Melissa and his devoted children, Jesse and Ricky Jones; daughter, Tonya Jones Grant; step-daughters, Holly and Ashley Brown; five grandchildren; his sister, Darlene and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents; two sisters, Judy and Emma and two brothers, Danny Jones and Tater King. Ricky retired from the city of Asheville. He will be remembered for his caring nature and for his great accomplishments and many talents.

He was an amazing artist and had a knack for creating the most unusual art pieces that was displayed in his home and in the surrounding area. He was a loving and caring man to all and he opened his home to many in need. He loved children as if they were his own.

He loved to spread his knowledge to all who would listen. All who know and loved him will remember him as a hard worker and talented caring man. He will truly be missed.
