Richard T Gruber, age 93 passed from this life on Friday, April 27, 2018, at his residence in Niceville, FL, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ann (Therese) Gruber and his children, Brian Gruber and Karin Chadwick, 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Having spent 30 years in service to his country, including 4 years of Naval service in WWII, 100 missions in a P-51 in Korea, 2 years as the Air Attache to the Royal Thai Air Force, and special operations A-37 Squadron Commander with 231 missions in Vietnam, he spent the next 45 years enjoying golf, travel and the love of his family.

While he was very modest about his accomplishments, his life has been and will remain an inspiration to us all. A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Friday, May 4th at 2:00pm at the Eglin Golf Course.
