Ricky (Rick) Wasilewski age 66, of Flat Rock, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at ProMedica Regional Hospital in Monroe, Michigan. Born on May 21, 1952 in Trenton, Michigan, he was the son of Anthony and Elsie (Pawlukiewicz) Wasilewski. On August 20, 1977 he married Roberta Orkisz in St. Roch’s Catholic Church, Flat Rock, MI.

Ricky was a member of American Legion #217. He enjoyed vegetable gardening, feeding the wildlife, watching the Detroit Tigers and working on home projects. Rick enjoyed playing basketball in his younger days.

He played basketball for the Huron Chiefs (New Boston) his number was 44. He also enjoyed playing and showing his skills to his children. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jack.

He is survived by his wife Roberta Wasilewski of Flat Rock; son Scott Wasilewski of Flat Rock; daughter Magan (Kevin) Zuk of Southgate; brother Kenneth (Roy) Wasilewski and Larry (Phyllis) Wasilewski of New Boston; sister Shirley (Larry) Sochocki of Canton. Friends may visit in the Arthur Bobcean Funeral Home, Flat Rock Chapel on Saturday, March 30, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held at on Saturday, March 30, 2019 at 7:00 pm.

Father Richard Hartmann will officiate the service. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers contributions in his memory may be made to the Wyandotte Animal Shelter.
