Whitinsville- Rickard E. Baldwin, Sr., 66, died Tuesday, April 24, in Whittier Rehab Hospital in Westborough. He leaves his wife of 46 years, Linda (Blette) Baldwin, two sons; Rickard E. Baldwin, Jr. and his wife Melanie, of Douglas and Michael J. Baldwin and his wife Angela, of Whitinsville; three brothers; John, William and James Baldwin, six sisters; Janice Mills, Judith Gray, Nancy Gigarjian, Mary Murray, Laurie Jure and Kathy Box, and seven grandchildren; Hailey, Jack, Dean, Kallie, Alyssa, Emma and Khloe. He was predeceased by his brother Robert and his sister Patricia Milner.

Rick was born February 1, 1952, in Northbridge, a son of Edward and Lorraine (Joslin) Baldwin. He served 6 years in the Army National Guard, in addition to working at Norton Co. during the 1980’s, prior to owning his painting company, Baldwin Brothers. Later, he worked as a supervisor for the former ECM in Worcester, before retiring 20 years ago.

He and Linda were members of the Chapter Q Gold-Wing Club GWRRA in Connecticut. He was a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Northbridge during the 1970’s and 1980’s. He loved motorcycle riding.

He will be remembered for his sense of humor and practical jokes and helping people above and beyond what was expected. He especially enjoyed spending time with and helping his family. A graveside service will be held at Saint Patrick’s Cemetery, Thursday, May 3 at 11:30AM.

Calling Hours are Wednesday, May 2, from 5-7PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Travis Roy Foundation, 101 Huntington Ave. , Suite 520, Boston, MA 02199.
