RICKY’s Obituary Mr. Ricky Joe Boger, 61, passed away with his family by his side, early Sunday morning, March 24, 2019 at Treasure Health Hospice located in Fort Pierce, Florida. Rick was born and raised in Lebanon, Ohio and was the son of Jeanne Boger. He graduated from Lebanon High School in Lebanon, Ohio.
Rick relocated to Vero Beach, Florida where he met, settled down and raised a family with the love of his life, Denise who enjoyed being a life long resident that worked in construction building luxury homes on the Treasure Coast. Rick enjoyed the simple pleasures that life had to offer from spending time outdoors working in the yard with his beloved dog, Bud to hanging out with his friends drinking coffee every morning with the gang at Cumberland Farms. He was an avid concertgoer, an enthusiast of all music, especially classic rock and guitar and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidsons with his love, brother, and friends every year up to Daytona’s Bike Week.
Rick will be remembered for his light-hearted joyful spirit, his fun-loving outgoing personality and his infectious sense of humor and gorgeous smile. His protective nature and love for all animals are some of the most endearing qualities that will be missed by all those who knew him well. Rick was a one-of-a-kind beautiful man that will be cherish in our hearts forever.
Survivors include: Mother Jeanne Boger of Lebanon, Ohio; Uncle Steve Fugate of Vero Beach, Florida; Brother Mark Boger (Peggy) of Lebanon, Ohio; Daughters Jerra Hayden (Ryan) of Plano, Texas and Misty Cannon (John) of Fort Pierce, Florida; Grandsons John Cannon III of Fort Pierce, Florida, Troy Cannon of Fort Pierce, Florida, and Wyatt Hayden of Vero Beach, Florida; Sister-in-Law Lisa Worden (Alex Olsen) of North Hutchinson Island, Florida; and Nephew Nicholas Worden-Olsen of North Hutchinson Island, Florida; Cousins Ralph Fugate (Julie) of Bristol, Wisconsin and Joe Fugate (Judy) of Crystal Lake, Illinois; Best Friends Eddie Zorn (Lisa) of Vero Beach, Florida, Kim Muir of Sebastian, Florida, and Ralph Hulings (Phoebe) of Sebastian, Florida; Rick’s Beloved Dog, Bud of Sebastian, Florida; and numerous family and friends. His Father Wilbur Boger, Jr. and the love of his life Denise Fortner preceded Rick in death. There will be an informal Celebration of Life Ceremony for his closest friends and family held on Saturday, April 13th, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. located in his old neighborhood at the park across from 449 Periwinkle Drive in Sebastian, Florida 32958.
