ROBERT’s Obituary Robert Joseph Flaherty, 88 passed away March 12, 2019 in Vero Beach, Florida. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and lived in Vero Beach (including back in 1970), coming from Rochester, New York. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force and served in the Korean War, stationed at Langley Air Force Base and North Atlantic.

He retired as a self-employed consulting engineer in the nuclear power generation industry. He was a graduate of University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, including graduate studies in nuclear engineering at U. of Pitt. , U. of Miami, and M.I.T. Father to the late Dianne Lynn Flaherty, survivors include daughters Laura Lynn McDonald of Littleton, Colorado and Mary Lou Peterson (Mark) of Grant, Florida, son Brian Vick Flaherty (Gina) of Alpharetta, Georgia, and five beautiful granddaughters and one loving grandson that he adores.

A memorial service for our beloved will be in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, date to be determined.
