Obituary of Riley Zabele Verona-Riley J. Zabele, age 15, a 10th grader at V.V.S. Central School passed away peacefully Wednesday afternoon July 11, 2018 with his loving family at his side in the Siegenthaler Center after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He was born on October 24, 2002 in Daytona Beach, Florida a son of Jon L. Zabele and Christina Wilk. Riley enjoyed playing video games, fishing and was a member of the Robotic Club and Tech Clubs at V.V.S. Surviving are his mother Christina Wilk of Rome, father Jon (Carole) Zabele of Verona, his siblings, Kayleigh Zabele of Rome, Colby Zabele of Verona, Aubrey Zabele of Verona, step brothers Joshua Thomas of Verona and Jack Thomas of Sherrill, step sister Marketta Thomas of Verona, his paternal grandparents James and Beverly Zabele, maternal grandparents, Pam and Ed Wilk and Kathy Foley, extended grandparent Arlene Fisher of Seminole, Fla.

aunts and uncles Lorraine (Dale) , Romleski, Theresa (Carl) Davies, Heather (Josh) Kogut, Joshua Wilk, Marybeth Hayduke , Jim (Mary) Zabele, Denise (Ken) Tyler, Kathy (Jim) Allott, Eileen (John) Brusger, Jeanne (Scott) O’Gorman and many cousins, extended family and friends. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Verona Seventh Day Baptist Church, 6775 Blackmans Corners Rd, Verona, NY. A private funeral services for the immediate family will be Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the church with Pastor Steve James officiating.

Burial will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Lenox, New York.
