OBITUARY Rita P. O’Loughlin November 4, 1921 – October 1, 2018 Rita P. O’Loughlin, 96, of Belmont Street, Fall River, passed away on Monday, October 1 at Clifton Rehab & Nursing Center in Somerset. Born in Fall River, she was the daughter of the late James and Ann (Coonan) O’Loughlin. She was a retired accredited Medical Secretary and Stenographer having been employed by Charlton Memorial Hospital for 35 years.

Ms. O’Loughlin was a former member of the Catholic Women’s Club. Her membership also included the National Secretaries Association and the Sisters of Mercy Community. She was also a member of Baker’s Beach Club.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews both in Fall River and in California. She was the sister of the late Catherine Leary, Ann McConnell, Sarah McCarthy, Gertrude and James O’Loughlin. Rita’s family would like to thank the owner’s, administration and staff at Clifton Rehabilitation Center for the wonderful care that was shown to Rita during her stay.

Her Funeral will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 10:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover St., Fall River. Burial in St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Fall River. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

Contributions in her honor may be made to Sisters of Mercy, 15 Highland View Rd. , Cumberland, RI 02864.
