Westfield-Raymond H. “R.J.” Burgess Jr., 50, died Sunday, October 14, 2018 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on March 18, 1968. He grew up in Springfield attended local schools and was a 1986 graduate of Cathedral High School.

He worked for East Longmeadow Big Y for many years and for the past 7 years he worked for Placon Inc. in West Springfield in the shipping and receiving dept. He was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed playing golf. He leaves his mother Susan P. (Ingham) Burgess of Westfield, his sister Gretchen Collins and her husband Shane of Westfield and their children Cody and Katie.

He also leaves his longtime girlfriend Kelly Sienkiewicz of West Springfield and her nephew Johnny Guido of Westfield. He was pre-deceased by his father Raymond H. Burgess Sr. A calling hour will be held on Friday, October 19th from 11 am till 12 noon from the Firtion-Adams Funeral Service, 76 Broad Street. A service will follow at 12 noon.

Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of R.J. may be made the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen Street, Framingham, MA 01701.
