Robert Appelgren, 78, of Rockford passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 in his home. Born July 16, 1940, in Sweden, the son of Gustav and Gunhild Appelgren. Robert left Sweden on his own at the age of 17 to come to the United States and started his tool and die apprenticeship.

Throughout his life, he owned multiple manufacturing companies and car lots. Anyone who ever met Robert, never forgot him.
