Robert “Bob” Harry Thompson was born November 14, 1942 in Hammond, IN to Harry & Betty (Harper) Ford. He departed this life on Saturday, October 6, 2018 in Tahlequah, OK at the age of 75 years, 10 months, & 22 days. Growing up, Bob attended schools in Indiana, Illinois, & Pennsylvania.

He furthered his education by going to college & began work as an engineer. He worked & retired from the Foundry Industry in 2007. He had worked at the Gardner Denver Foundry in… Read More » Pryor, where he had met his future wife, Billie Jean Hyatt.

The couple had been married for over 42 years. Bob had lived in California for over 30 years, before settling in Rogers, AR when he retired. He & Jean recently moved to Locust Grove in January, 2018.

Bob was an avid golfer. He loved horse & car races alike. He was a fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team & the Chicago Bears football team.

Bob will be missed by those that knew & loved him. Bob is survived by: His wife: Jean Thompson of the home; 2 daughters: Harriet Peal & husband Ken of Indiana & Heidi Thompson of California; 1 step-daughter: Jacque Cavalier of Locust Grove, OK; 1 step-son: Jon Cavalier of Locust Grove, OK; 11 grandchildren; & 12 great grandchildren; Bob was preceded in death by: his parents. Burial of cremated remains will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 12, 2018, at the Hogan Cemetery near Locust Grove, Oklahoma.

Brother Shawn Bates will officiate. Cremation services have been entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
