Robert V. “Bob” Oxendine, 93, of Terre Haute passed away on Monday November 12, 2018 in his residence. He was a retired brick mason with the Local #5. He was born April 5, 1925 in Sullivan County to Oscar Oxendine and Edna (Clements) Oxendine.

Bob is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Allen) Oxendine; daughters, Marsha K. Good, Debbie Archer, Cheryl McCoskey, and Ellen Oxendine; sons, Robert Brian Oxendine, Hugh Lee Oxendine, and Allen A. Oxendine; step-daughters, Fauneil Boyer, Carol Hughes, and Daxie Thompson; 19 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Deanie Oxendine; son, David V. Oxendine and four sisters and three brothers. Bob was a US Navy veteran serving on the USS Ajax during WWII.

He was a member of the Prairieton United Methodist Church, Pimento Masonic Lodge #292, Zorah Shrine, the Scottish Rite, Prairie Creek American Legion Post #67 and the Wabash Western Riders Club. He was also an avid golfer. Visitation will be Friday November 16, 2018 from 4:00 until 8:00 pm in DeBaun Springhill Chapel with a masonic memorial service at 7:00 pm.

Funeral services on Saturday November 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm in the funeral home with Pastor Julie Puttmann officiating. Burial will be in New Harmony Cemetery. In lieu of flowers that family suggests that for those who desire, memorial contributions may be made to either, Pimento Masonic Lodge, Shrine Children’s Hospital, or Prairieton United Methodist Church.
