Robert “Bob” Shippey,88, of Warners passed away Friday in Upstate University Hospital. Born in Cortland, Bob lived in the Warners – Iona Corners area for the last 60 years. He was a retired pipefitter and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 73.

Bob served in the Army from 1951 to 1957. He enjoyed watching WWF wrestling as well as spending time hunting and fishing. Feeding the birds in the back yard provided him with much enjoyment.

He was predeceased by wife Esther in 2013, 2 sons John in 2004 and Bobby in 1962 and grandson Michael in 2018. Surviving are 4 daughters Rhonda (Fred) Mezzo, Denise Boyle, Sharon (Carl) Spencer, and Kelly (Benny Demperio) Shippey,7 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Services will be 12:30pm Tuesday, Oct.

23rd at the Bush Funeral Home, 120 E. Main St. (Rt. 5) Elbridge. Burial will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners.
