Robert’s Obituary Robert C. Blankenship Age 84, of Vandalia, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Miami Valley Hospital. Bob was born February 11, 1935 in Dayton to the late Hershal & Lucy (Kite) Blankenship. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Blankenship.

Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the USTA (United States Trotting Association), and he enjoyed playing Bingo and following the Kentucky Wildcats and the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his loving wife of the past 58 years, Mary (Gillott) Blankenship; three children, Jeff Hollifield, Brenda Alsept (Robert) and Debra Hollifield; brother, Ed Blankenship (Judeene); six grandchildren, LaVonna, Jessica (Shawn), Laina (Mike), Shanna (Scott), Matthew & Trevor; and by five great grandchildren, Zack, Dylan, Mahlina, Levi & Chris. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, contributions should be made in memory of Bob to the donor’s favorite charity. “When your ticket’s punched – you’re out of here!
