Robert Curtis Wagoner, 84, of La Porte, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at Franciscan Health Michigan City. Robert was born in Alford, IN on January 14, 1934 to Curtis Wagner and Jennie (Harker) McRay. Robert was married to his wife of over 60 years, Mary Etta Wagoner who preceded him in death on January 22, 2018.

Surviving are his daughters, Cathy Buss of La Porte and Tammy Eskridge of La Porte; grandsons, David Buss, Cody Buss, and Tim Werner; granddaughter, Mary Mendoza; and many great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife; parents; and daughter, Bobbie Sue Nowell. Robert served honorably in the US Navy.

He and his wife owned and operated Wagoner Excavating & Demolition Company for over 40 years. He loved restoring old cars, had a collection of old license plates, and enjoyed watching old western movie. A service will be held at 5 PM on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1480 Boyd Blvd, La Porte, IN.

A light meal at the church will follow the service. Memorial contributions may be directed to The La Porte Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 1480 Boyd Blvd. , La Porte, IN 46350.
