Robert E. Unger, 65, of Rockford, passed away Friday, June 8, 2018 in his home. Born January 23, 1953 in Joliet, IL, the son of Donald & Kathryn (Hurt) Unger. Lived most of his life in the Rockford area.

He loved gardening, cooking and his beloved dog, Fergi. Predeceased by his parents and brother, Alan. Survivors include brothers, David, Mark (Teri) and Richard Unger of Freeport; sisters Mary (Mark) Peace of Loves Park, Dorothy McConnell of Rock Falls and numerous nieces and nephews.
