Robert Earnest Lee, age 77, of Conover passed away on Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Carolina Caring. He was born in Windham, CT on September 30, 1941, the son of the late Gordon & Mary Alma Trembley Lee. Robert honorably served our country in the US Navy and later made a career working on nuclear submarines for the US government during the missile crisis.

He was a loving father and especially loved spending time with his grandkids. If Robert wasn’t spending time with his family, you could find him on the lake, where he loved to be, fishing or at the casino’s. He also enjoyed riding his golf cart at the campground.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son Jamie Lee & wife Fonda of Taylorsville; sister Patricia Stacy of Florida; grandchildren Cheyenne Lee of Taylorsville and Dylan Lee & Brittany Hullet & husband Tommy of Newton; two great grandchildren; and close friend Pam Wells of Connecticut. The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 28 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm at Alexander Funeral Service. There will be no formal funeral service planned at this time.
