OBITUARY Robert Gene Dietze January 28, 1944 – July 25, 2018 On Wednesday, July 25, 2018, Robert Gene Dietze made his glorious journey home. Bob, as so many knew him, will be deeply missed by family and friends. Bob was born in Iowa City, Iowa on January 28th, 1944 and married Marliese Koch on March 24th, 1964.

Bob was preceded in death by Marliese Koch of Obereiseheim, Germany on August 22rd, 2005. CWO Dietze served in the U.S. army for 22 years and retired in 1982 from Ft. Carson, Colorado.

Bob continued his federal service with Tank Automotive Command as a Logistic Assistant Representative. He retired from Ft. Hood in 2005 after traveling to and from Europe and the Middle East.

As Bob makes his heavenly journey, he leaves behind a daughter and two sons. His daughter Kimberly Evans and son Marcel Dietze currently preside in Kempner, Texas. His son Kevin and daughter-in-law Roseanne Dietze currently preside in Belton, Texas.

Bob also leaves behind 5 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Dad, grandpa, GP, and Popo with you travels our love and fond memories and you will be deeply missed. We love you today and forever!

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 28 from 12-2 pm at Crawford-Bowers, Funeral Home, Copperas Cove. A funeral service is scheduled for 2 pm Saturday at the funeral home with burial at Smith Cemetery to follow. Crawford-Bowers, Copperas Cove have been entrusted with the services.
