Robert Homan March 22, 1941 – January 11, 2019 Share this obituary Local Florists Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Robert Homan, 77, of Davis, SD, died Friday, January 11, 2019, at Avera Dougherty Hospice following a lengthy illness. He was born in 1941 at St. Leo, MN. In his teens moved to Clear Lake, SD where he graduated from Clear Lake High in 1959.

He served in the SD Army National Guard for 6 years. In 1965 he married Joyce Torgerson. The couple lived in Toronto, SD until moving to Davis in 1969 where he operated and owned the Davis and Chancellor grain elevators.

Survivors; wife Joyce; daughters: Jodi (Lynn) Jorgensen, Tea and Robin (Jerry) Wirth, Yankton; four grandchildren; siblings: Janet Elliott, Missoula, MT, Gene (Marge) Homan, White River, Joyce (Larry) Bendt, Sioux Falls, Rita (Dan) Ashbaugh, Clear Lake, Leona Lindner, Watertown, John (Teresa) Homan, Watertown and sister-in-law, Judith Homan, Clear Lake. Services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15 at the Davis Legion Hall.
