Obituary for Robert J. Bowden Beloved father, son and uncle passed away Monday, November 5, 2018. Age 45 years. The son of Frederick and Mary Ann (Roberts) Bowden, Bob was born October 11, 1973 in Saginaw, Michigan.

He graduated from Heritage High School and played on the Heritage High School Hockey Team. He was self-employed as a mechanic and enjoyed working on cars, fishing in Alaska, water fowl hunting and loved spending time with his family. Surviving are one daughter Haley and Abel Mendoza, North Carolina; Bob’s parents, Fred and Mary Ann Bowden, Saginaw; two sisters, Dawn and Glenn VanDemark, Owosso; Debra Larkin, Saginaw; several nieces and nephews; Bob’s girlfriend, Marie Gaertner; Bob’s beloved canine companion, Gus.

Bob was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Elaine Bowden and James and Edith Roberts. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Thursday November 8, 2018 at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd. , (between Shattuck and McCarty).

Mr. John Cuthberson will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home where the family will be present on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Amazing Grace Animal Rescue, Saginaw County Animal Care Center or the charity of their choice.
