Gladis, Robert J. “Bob”, 77, Johnstown, passed away February 23, 2019 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 9, 1941 in Johnstown, son of John and Catherine (Obarsky) Gladis. Preceded in death by parents, wife Vivian (Safina), infant brother, John; sisters, Jane Helsel and Doris Kisha.

Survived by sons, Matt and Brian Gladis and sister, Joan Wolffe. He was a lifelong member of St. Marys Byzantine Catholic Church, Johnstown. He was an avid sports fan who loved the Steelers, Pirates and Penguins, he especially liked Notre Dame football.

Retire from Bethlehem Steel. U.S. Army Veteran. 1959 graduate of Johnstown High School.

Friends will be received Saturday from 1:00 until time of memorial service at 2:00 pm at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave. , Fr. Ivan Rusyn.

The family suggest donations to the American Diabetes Association. Inurnment Grandview Cemetery.
