(94) of Johnstown passed away February 17, 2019. Born April 21, 1924 daughter of Francis and Mary (Baranchuk) Hlavay. Preceded in death by her parents, husband of 62 years John and her 2 brothers and 5 sisters, “Rose” was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survived by her children Maryanne Pozar (Paul), John D. Swarney (Donna) and Marcia Swarney. Her grandchildren Amy Shellhammer (Mike) and Jason Pozar (Miki) and her great-grandchildren Paul James “P.J.” Shellhammer and Kai Pozar and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rose was a lifelong member of St. Stephens Catholic Church where she served with the Ladies Guild and now is a member of Resurrection Catholic Church.

Rose loved her family, had great faith and prayed daily. She enjoyed making crafts and doing crossword puzzles and television game shows. Family and friends will be received at 10 AM Wednesday at Moskal-Reid funeral home and are invited to attend her Funeral Mass at 11 AM at Resurrection Catholic Church, the Rev.
