Obituary for Robert James Piper Robert James Piper of the Navarro Community passed away in Corsicana at Navarro Regional Hospital at the age of 67 on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. He was born in Long Beach, California to Robert Harvey Piper and Nancy Elizabeth Brown Piper. Robert served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War and the United States Coast Guard Reserve for 34 years.

Robert retired from Boeing Aircraft as a supervisor after 30 years and moved to Navarro to be closer to family. He was a member of the American Legion Post 22 and the Vietnam Veterans Association of Navarro County. He loved playing Bridge at the Harbor Inn and the Corsicana Senior Center.

Being outdoors whether at his home in the morning watching the sun rise or hunting deer and elk enjoying nature brought him joy. He and his wife Billie enjoyed traveling to different part of the country that may include weeks of a road trip. Robert is survived by his wife Billie Piper of Navarro; children; Rosa Johnston and husband Jimmy of Navarro, Angela Golob and husband Josh of Granger, WA.

, Kristin Piper of Seattle, WA. and Randy Charanza; three grandchildren; Terra Bowen, Tyler Golob and Aiden Golob; brothers Bill Piper of Dallas and Mark Gwaltney and his dog Rexy. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
