Obituary for William H. “Bill” Mims, Jr Mr. William H. “Bill” Mims, Jr., 68, of Corsicana passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Corsicana to William Harold Mims, Sr. and Vivian Marie Gray Mims.

He was a truck driver for many years, and had a love for being outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Stephen Mims. He is survived by his wife, Vernia E. Mims of Richland; step-son, Clyde Edwards and wife Carol of Corsicana; step-daughter, Amanda Edwards of Dallas; Step-granddaughter, Aundria Edwards of Dallas; step-great granddaughter, Cassidy Edwards of Dallas; sisters, Bobbie Gonzales, Bessie Brooks, Kim Duckworth.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Corley Funeral Home Chapel with Bishop Allen Edwards officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
