OBITUARY Robert Joseph Saal June 19, 1941 – September 1, 2018 Robert “Bob” Saal passed away Saturday September 1, 2018 in Gainesville, Florida. He was born June 1, 1941 in Akron, Ohio to parents Gilbert and Ruth (Freudeman-Saal) Papoi. Bob lived most of his life in Ohio, then relocated to Florida after retirement from ODOT.

His passion was martial arts and became the President of the Karate Federation. His other enjoyment was driving his classic 1963 ford Galaxy to car shows with his Gainesville Street Rods friends. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Ramona (Hensley), their son Randy, daughter Robyn (Steve) Szabo and five adored grandchildren Max, Nicholas, Sam, Ava and Scout.

Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 6-8:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial, celebrated by Rev. David Misbrener, will be held at 11:00am on Friday, September 14, at St. Peter of the Fields Church, 3487 Old Forge Rd, Rootstown, Ohio.

Interment will follow at St. Peter of the Fields Cemetery. Condolences and memories may be shared at wood-kortright-borkoski.com.
