Robert’s Obituary Robert Lee Foster, age 84, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2019. He is preceded in death by his wife Shirley Davis Foster. Bob is survived by his sons: Jeff Foster of Wellington, FL and Larry Foster (Shirleen) of Cumming, GA; and grandsons: Shawn Foster and Joshua Foster.

Bob was born in Lenoir, NC. on November 13, 1934. He met his wife, Shirley, in the 8 th grade.

They were married for almost 59 years, before her death in May 2017. Bob graduated from High Point College with a degree in Business Administration and worked and travelled with Sears for over 30 years. He held many positions before moving to Georgia in 1997 as the Regional Manager for the Sears Merchant Program.

After retiring, Bob and Shirley moved to Suwanee, Ga where they became founding members of First Redeemer Church. Bob was a sports fan, with a special love for baseball which he had played in his younger years. He loved camping trips with his family when the boys were young, was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling with Shirley and church friends in their retirement years.

Bob enjoyed tinkering in his woodworking shop and gardening. He also enjoyed shows at the Fox Theatre and was a season ticket holder for the Atlanta Falcons for over 35 years. During retirement he and a few fellow Sears’ retirees formed an investment club which met a few times a year in Alabama.

The family will receive friends on Saturday March 30, 2019 at 10am, followed by the memorial service at 11am the same day in the funeral home chapel. The family will have a reception following the service, all at McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Suwanee Drive, Cumming, GA, 30040. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to There’s Hope for the Hungry at thereshopeforthehungry.org/.
