East Palestine- Robert Lee Freed, Sr., age 65, of East Palestine, died on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at his daughter’s home in Salineville. He was born on August 11, 1953 in Harrisburg, PA. , a son of the late Delmar and Mary Sherrill Freed.

Robert is survived by his wife, Kathleen Cox Freed; Son, Robert Lee Freed, Jr. of East Palestine; two daughters, Julie A. Armentrout of Salineville and Shirley Freed of Lorain, OH. , and a brother, Jim Freed of Enon Valley, PA. Also surviving are four grandchildren.

Robert was preceded in death by a brother John Freed and a sister Ruthie Cruz. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. at the Van Dyke-Swaney-Rettig Funeral Home, East Palestine. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating.

Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Gardens in New Waterford. Donations may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses. Family and friends may view this obituary and send condolences at www.
