Robert Lee Laskowski, age 78, a life-long resident of Grand Rapids passed away on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Bob was born in Grand Rapids on November 14, 1940. He served in the U.S. Army in France and upon his discharge he continued his education and proudly received his High School diploma.

He worked for Steelcase for 10 years as a tool and die maker. An important part of Bob’s life was his commitment for over 30 years to AA and the support that he gave to those who needed his help to achieve and maintain sobriety. Bob loved the hours that he could spend fishing and the days that he and his wife, Libby, spent on the cruises they took to many parts of the world.

Surviving are his wife of 39 years, Libby Child; his daughter, Robin Knutson (Kurt) and two granddaughters, Jody and K.C. Also, an important part of Bob’s and Libby’s life were their many dachshunds that gave them hours of joy. In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place.
