Obituary for Robert Goldie A celebration of life for Robert M. Goldie, 89, a longtime Chardon resident of more than 50 years, will be held at a later date. Mr. Goldie passed away April 30, 2018, at Lake Health West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was born June 12, 1928, in Massillon.

Robert was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Okinawa. He loved to swim and enjoyed baseball, especially the Cleveland Indians. He was the beloved husband 65 years to Betty (nee Titgemeier) Goldie; loving father of Robert C. (Beverly) Goldie of Dublin, Ohio, James R. (Wanda) Goldie of Mentor, Richard A. (Jacqueline) Goldie of Arlington, Va.

, and Greg C. (Bobbie) Goldie of Milton, Ga. ; and cherished grandfather of Andrew, Patrick, Brad, Ayden, and Abigail. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Amy (nee Walters) Goldie; and sibling, Nelva Bright.
