Obituary for John J. Sepetauc Services for John J. Sepetauc, 70, formerly of Mentor, will be at 10 AM on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Davis-Babcock Funeral Home, 4154 Clark Avenue, Willoughby. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Mr. Sepetauc passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 14, 2018 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Born April 3, 1948 in Cleveland, he grew up in Garfield Heights and then settled in Mentor, where he lived for 38 years, before retiring to Daytona Beach Shores in Florida. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. John enjoyed the game of baseball tremendously and collecting baseball cards since his childhood.

He enjoyed all sports but baseball was his passion. He loved to go for long walks especially along the beach. Mr. Sepetauc was employed at the former TRW Corporation for 30 years and also at Orbis for 15 years.

Survivors are his wife of 44 years, Kathy (Ward) Sepetauc; daughter, Andrea (John) Ribic and sons, Philip (Shelly) Sepetauc and Daniel (Miyuki) Sepetauc; grandchildren, Claire and Nolan Ribic and Saige and Parker Sepetauc; parents, Joseph and Rose Teresa (Dedek) Sepetauc; sister, Rosemary (George) Yukich and brother, Frank (Lisa) Sepetauc. He also leaves his in-laws, Tom (Nancy) Ward, Cheryl Henry and Lisa (Don) Grubbs and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Carol Magdalenz and brother-in-law, Charles Henry.

Final resting place will be in Western Reserve Memorial Gardens, Chester Township, following the service on Friday.
