Obituary for Ralph Staley Memorial Services for Ralph Roger Staley, 65, of Chardon, will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Community Christian Church, 370 Hale Road, Chardon. Roger passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at his residence in Chardon.

Born Nov. 25, 1952 in Brownsville, PA, he had been a resident of Chardon for the last five years, and had previously lived in Ashtabula and Lake Counties. Roger loved his grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver and had served in the U.S. Army. Roger was the beloved husband of 47 years to Joan M. (nee Oliver) Staley; loving father of John (Leslie LeFeure-DiRenzo) Staley and James Staley; cherished grandfather of Mindy, Tyler, Amanda (Derek), Morgan and Adlyn; great grandfather of Hadley; brother of Linda (Carlos) Valdez, Brenda (Max Hernandez) Ferrell, Richard Staley and Sherry (Jimmy) Kieran; brother-in-law of Kathy (Eugene) Breedlove, Judy Hillis, Ray (Maria) Oliver and Roy (Joanne) Oliver; and uncle of nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph R. Sr. and Lillian (nee Hennessey) Staley; and brothers-in-law, Doug Hillis and John Oliver.
