Obituary for James Svrga James A. Svrga, 62, of Largo, Fla. , passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, surrounded by his loving family.

Born Nov. 30, 1955, in Euclid, he had lived in Ohio and Florida. Jim loved sports, and never missed watching the Browns, Indians, or OSU play.

He also enjoyed music and was a huge Pink Floyd fan. Mr. Svrga was the owner of Lumber Company in Euclid and Ballpark Memories in Richmond Heights. He was the beloved father of Carmella M. (Tom) Jukic, Johnny J. (Sally) Svrga, Mindy L. (Brian) Lebowitz and Isaak Wise; cherished grandfather of Tyler, Jordan, Ethan, Gracyn, Jackson and Lila; brother of Barbara (Tom) LaGatta and Steve “Bud” Svrga; and uncle of nieces and nephews.

James was a loving friend to Jennifer A Hrisko. He and also leaves his faithful dog, “Syd”. James was preceded in death by his parents, Steve and Marie (nee Lukanc) Svrga; sister, Helen Campolieti; and brother, Johnny Svrga.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a celebration of life to be held at 7:30 p.m. Burial will be private. The family suggests donations in his name be made to the Northeast Ohio ALS Association, 6155 Rockside Road, Suite 403, Independence, OH 44131.
