Obituary for Michael Ciavarelli Funeral Mass for Michael D. Ciavarelli, 78, of Wickliffe, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave. , Wickliffe.

Father Joseph O’Donnell will officiate at the Mass. Michael passed away Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018 at Hospice House of the Western Reserve in Cleveland.

Born Nov. 14, 1939 in Pittston, PA, he was a Lake County resident for 44 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Michael was the dear husband of 44 years of Mary Jane (nee Silvestro) Ciavarelli; loving father of Matthew (Lori) Ciavarelli of Kirtland and Michael Ciavarelli of Hermosa Beach, CA; grandfather of Joseph and Elle; brother of Matthew (Nancy) Ciavarelli and Daniel (Pam) Ciavarelli; uncle of Melissa, Andrea, Mark and Greg; great uncle of Leo and Davis; and son-in-law of Rose Silvestro. He also leaves behind many cousins and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Matthew and Laura Ciavarelli and father-in-law, Joseph Silvestro.

The family receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. , Willoughby (on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home). Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
