Obituary for Dolores Voelker Dolores M. (nee Coles) Voelker, 85, of Willoughby, passed away Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018, at her residence. Born Aug.

4, 1933, in Cleveland, she had been a resident of Lake County for the past 68 years. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family, camping, casino trips and loved to crochet. She was the “Matriarch and Rock” of the family.

Mrs. Voelker was a retired bookkeeper. She was the loving mother of Carol (Bob) Brooks and Karen (Pete) Brooks; mother-in-law of Alison Voelker and Michele Voelker; cherished grandmother of Nichole (Don) Jewell, Michael (Katie) Brooks, Bobby Brooks, Jennifer Brooks, Gabrielle Petrie Frisina and Gary Voelker; great-grandmother of Taylor, Marcus, Peyton, Greyson and Mackenzie; sister of Gordon Coles; sister-in-law and best friend of Sheila Coles; and aunt of many cherished nieces and nephews. Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jay E. Voelker; children, Gary Voelker and Jeff Voelker; grandson, Brian Voelker; parents, Harry and Dorothy (nee Evers) Coles; and siblings, Theodore Coles, Walter Coles and Robert Voelker.

Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave. , Willoughby, with a celebration of life to be held at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 17876 St. Clair Ave. , Cleveland, OH 44110.
