Obituary for Ina Ray Ina R. (nee Swafford) Ray, 95, of Mentor, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2018, at Heartland of Willoughby. Born May 9, 1923, in Livingston, Tenn.

, she had been a longtime Lake County resident. She was the loving mother of Sharon K. Douglas; aunt of many nieces and nephews, including Sue (Bill) Mills, Crystal King and Ina Katherine Hassler; great-aunt of Bridgett Hicks; sister-in-law of Mollie (Dale) Kulchar and June (Charles) Wise; and cousin of many. She is also survived by her “granddogs, Kobe and Jasper, but sadly her “granddog,” Rufus is deceased.

Ina was preceded in death by her first husband, George Douglas; second husband, Joe Ray; parents, Charlie Lee and Milda Frances (nee Walker) Swafford; and siblings, Beula Bradham, Dimple Elandt, Herbert Swafford, Carlin Swafford, Jimmy Swafford and Marianne McDonald. Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at The Abbey of Willoughby, 38011 Euclid Ave. (located on the grounds of McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home), in Willoughby, with a funeral service to be conducted at 6 p.m. Pastor Dale Diggs will officiate the service.
