Robert Mahlon Saltzgaber Jr., 72 of Ashland died Sunday November 18, 2018 at his residence. He was born November 19, 1945 in Mansfield the son of Robert Mahlon and Marjorie Urich Saltzgaber. He was a 1963 graduate of Hayesville High School and a U.S. Navy veteran of the Vietnam War performing 2 tours of duty on the USS Intrepid Air Craft Carrier.

Rob was a driller of water wells for 30 years and a member of the St. Michael Lutheran Church in Mifflin. He is survived by his two daughters, Patricia Saltzgaber of Ashland and Tiffany (Charles) Hill of Hillard, his daughters mother, Pat Saltzgaber of Shelby, 4 grandchildren, Christian, Grace and Joi Hill and Reed Saltzgaber, and a sister, Anne (David) Seiss of Ashland. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Saturday December 1, 2018 at St. Michael Lutheran Church in Mifflin with Pastor Jean Coleman officiating. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Ashland County 4-H 1763 State Route 60 Ashland, OH 44805 or to the St. Michael Lutheran Church 26 Maine Street Ashland, OH 44805.
