He was born on December 11, 1942 in Canton, Ohio the son of the late John & Evelyn (Doll) Dierdorf. Robert was educated in the schools of Ohio.

He married Marjorie Carpenter in 1968. Robert owned & operated a livery service for over 20 years. His hobbies were reading & he enjoyed spending time with family & friends.

Survivors include his 5 children Debra Blailock, Rob (Toni) Hager, Laura Schneider, Julie (Greg) Stowell, & Robert W. Dierdorf Jr., 2 brothers John (Becky) Dierdorf & Dan (Deborah) Dierdorf, & 10 grandchildren. Robert was preceded by his parents, wife Marjorie & a daughter Evelyn Gallatin.
