Roberta J. Martin, 92, of Logansport, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2018 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Logansport. Born on September 17, 1925 in Carroll County, she was the daughter to the late Robert E. and Elva (Stephen) Dillon. On September 19, 1958 in Carroll County she married Douglas R. Martin who preceded her in death on September 28, 2002.

Roberta retired from the R.B.M. (Hamilton Standard) in 1988 after working there for 44 years. She was a member of Wheatland Avenue United Methodist Church, past Worthy Matron of the former Deer Creek Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star in 1956 & 1957, where her father was her Worthy Patron. Roberta was a 50-year member of Fidelity Chapter O.E.S.

She was a 1943 graduate of Deer Creek High School, past President of the R.B.M. 30 year club and life member of V.F.W Post #3790 and American Legion Post #60 Ladies Auxiliarys. Surviving is a son, Stephen D. Martin, Logansport; step son, Richard E. Martin and wife Jane, Kokomo; brother, Ben Dillon, Logansport; two sisters, Mary Fox, Flora; Barbara Duckworth and husband Michael, Fort Worth, TX; three granddaughters, Erika (Timothy) Malott; Lauren Russell; Bethany Mannies; step granddaughter, Tracey Anne Martin; seven great grandchildren, Morgen Martin, Bayleigh Nicolle Malott, Chelsie Malott, Makenzie Mucker, Wyatt Russell, Sunny Mannies and Corbin Mannies; great great granddaughter, Renesmae Boillat; and several step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Homburg-Smith and Marjorie Lesh; two brothers, Robert L. Dillon and James Dillon.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Bethel Cemetery, Logansport. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 10, 2018 in the Gundrum Funeral Home.

An Eastern Star Service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday. Memorials may be made to the Wheatland Ave. United Methodist Church.
