Wilbraham- Roberta T. (Roach) Wilson, 79, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 surrounded by the love of family. Roberta was born in Palmer, July 7, 1938 to the late Francis P. and Theresa (Trotta) Roach. She was a graduate of Monson High School, Westfield University and later earned her Master’s degree from American International College.

Roberta taught school for 40 years and for her last 20 years, specialized in the special education program in the Palmer School system. After retirement she continued to teach as a part time Art teacher at Putnam High School in Springfield. Roberta was a communicant at Bethany Charismatic Catholic Church in Brimfield.

She was active with the Monson Arts Council, Wilbraham Art League and Massachusetts Retired Teachers Association. Roberta also had an Art Studio and Gallery in the Indian Orchard Mills. Roberta leaves her husband of 56 years, Jerry D. Wilson; a son, Joel M. Wilson of Wilbraham; a daughter, Rebecca J. Carney of Brimfield; brothers, James Roach and Patricia of Brimfield, Francis Roach and Bernadette of Monson; a sister, Kathy Roach of Granby; two grandchildren, Meghan Carney and William A. Marks III; a great granddaughter, Lyla H. Murray; many extended family members, friends and students around the world.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, June 1, 2018 from 5-8pm at Lombard Funeral Home 3 Bridge St. Monson. A memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018 in Bethany Charismatic Catholic Church in Brimfield at 11am. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Charismatic Catholic Church, PO Box 607, Brimfield, MA 01010.
