Obituary of Robert Johnson Robert Carl Johnson, 86, of Chantilly, Virginia, died September 7, 2018. Mr. Johnson was born September 4, 1932, in Jenkins, Kentucky. He enlisted in the Army September 1948.

He was discharged in 1952. He then re-enlisted in August 1954. He was assigned to the Army Security Agency (ASA).

Robert attended school at Arlington Hall Station in Arlington, VA for the NSA. He was transferred to Camp Oji, Japan, then Linkou, Taiwan. He was discharged in May 1957.

Robert went on to work for the NSA at Fort Meade in Maryland, then transferred to the ASA at Arlington Hall Station. He remained there until he retired in June 1989. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Micki Whitaker Johnson; children, Robert Michael, twins – Karen Marie and David Scott; and 9 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Carl; mother, Daisy Conley; sister, Claydene; brother, Billy Wayne. He will be laid to rest at Culpeper National Cemetery in Culpeper, VA, Tuesday, September 11, 2018.
