He was born November 8, 1966 to the late Earl Posey and Ellen Leath Honeycutt Posey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers Bill Smith, Wayne Honeycutt, Sam Honeycutt and Monk Honeycutt; sisters Mattie (Johnny Hendrickson) Honeycutt and Eva Napier; brothers-in-law Bob Tye and Ed Jones.
