Roland A. Landry, Jr. August 25, 1947 – February 09, 2019 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Roland passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 2:28 p.m., at the age of 71. He was a native and resident of Plaquemine. Roland was a Marine Veteran that had many professions over the years; that included being an oil field worker and cook, to name a few.

Visiting will be on Wednesday, February 13th, from 5 p.m. until Rite of Christian Burial at 7:30 p.m., cremation to follow. Roland is survived by his children, Marc Landry and wife Louanna of Plaquemine, Roland “Trey” Landry and wife Kayci of Port Allen and Tara Landry and Ryan of Gonzales; 8 grandchildren, Kandace, Kameron, Kade, Kaylee, Hunter, Andrew, Kaegan and Mason Landry; siblings, Debra Legere and husband Ray of Cankton, and Rosalind Gallet of Youngsville. Roland now celebrates in heaven with the members of his family that passed away before him; his father, Roland A. Landry Sr.; mother, Sadie Mae Morales Landry Simon Rabalais; sister, Cheryl Brasseaux.

Roland was a loving father. He loved to cook, he was an excellent craftsman who worked with leather, and enjoyed raising animals. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with funeral expenses.
