Roman Herbert Heichelbech, 83, of Ferdinand, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at The Waters of Huntingburg. He was born September 22, 1935, in Ferdinand, to George and Elizabeth (Gehl) Heichelbech; and married Helen Strohmeyer on July 6, 1971. Roman was a United States Army veteran; and retired from Styline.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Heichelbech; daughter, Lisa Hubert; siblings, Lawrence and Walter Heichelbech, Bert Zink, Betty Bickwermert; and one grandchild. Roman… Read More » is survived by five daughters, Kathy Lynn Kluesner, Julie Heichelbech, Tina Gill, Nickie Trinidad all of Jasper, and Helen Dupont of Huntingburg; four step daughters, Carolyn Fehribach of Eckerty, Kathy Klem of St. Meinrad, Kellie Clark and Wanda Miller both of Ferdinand; brother, Silas (Mary Alice) Heichelbech of Ferdinand; sister, Mary Frances Mulryan of Bloomington; (32) grandchildren and (34) great grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m., E.D.T., Monday, October 1, 2018, at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg.

Deacon Tom Holsworth will officiate. The Ferdinand American Legion Post #124 Memorial Detail will conduct military rites. Friends may call for visitation from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, at the funeral home.
