Ronald Duane Scott, 78, of Beloit, WI and formerly of Rockton, IL, died Monday, March 11, 2019 at UW Hospital, Madison, WI. He was born on March 16, 1940 in Finley, WI, the son of Earl and Bernice (Marvin) Scott. Ronald was a graduate of Wonewoc High School.

He was a veteran serving with the U.S. Navy from 1958 until 1962. Ronald married Juanita Mieden on July 8, 1961 in Elroy, WI. She predeceased him on October 31, 1978.

He later married Clarita “Cal” Ludlum on October 29, 1983 in Beloit, WI. Ronald was employed by the Beloit Post Office as a clerk for 25 years, retiring in 2011. He was a member of the South Beloit American Legion Holtz-Hirst Post #288 and the Beloit V.F.W. Mead-Allen Post #2306.

Ronald was also a member of St. Peter Catholic Church and a 3rd Degree Member of St. Peters Knights of Columbus Council #8021. Survivors include his wife, Cal Scott of Rockton, IL; daughter, Wendy (Brian) Link of Mauston, WI; stepchildren, Cort (Elizabeth) McKee of Rockton, IL, Tori (Dan) Erickson of Loves Park, IL, Shana McKee of Fort Atkinson, WI, Scott (Kim) McKee of Byron, IL; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; sisters, Jeanice Hunmer of Kendall, WI, and Doris Herriwig of Wonewoc, WI. He was predeceased by his parents; daughter, Laurie Ann Scott; son, James Scott; grandson, Timothy Allen Lewrenz; brothers, Marvin, Robert, Arnold, Harold and Dale Scott; and sisters, Ellaine Saylor and Diane Chase.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 15, 2019 in St. Peter Catholic Church, 620 Blackhawk Blvd. , South Beloit, IL, with Father Steven Sabo officiating. Burial will be in Mt.

Vernon Cemetery, Hillsboro, WI. Visitation of remembrance will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd. , Beloit, WI.

Memorials in his name will be established at a later date.
