Ward, 59, of Danville, passed peacefully into his next adventure surrounded by those who loved him, at 10:38am Saturday March 9, 2019 at his home, Ron had fought a courageous 2yr battle with Chronic Myelomonoctic Leukemia He was born April 5, 1959 in Rantoul, IL to Stephen Alfred & Dorothy Robeck Ward. Ron & Jeanne Darnell were united in marriage June 11, 2000 in Danville, IL. Jeanne survives as well as: his mother, 1 son, Aaron (Amy) Ward of Alpharetta, GA, 1 daughter, Caitline Wolfe of Danville, IL; 2 brothers, Timothy (Tonya) Ward of Danville, IL, and Steven (Robin) Ward, of Irving, Texas; 1 brother-in-law Scott McBride of Champaign, IL and 1 granddaughter Avery Ward.

He was preceded in death by his father, and 2 sisters, Lori Ann Ward and Rebecca Ann McBride Ron’s greatest accomplishment and joy was in always being a great dad. He had been a correctional officer in Danville for 28 years, and enjoyed fishing, and walking the dog. Funeral services 10am Wednesday at Robison Chapel in Catlin, Dale DeNeal will officiate, burial will follow in the OakRidge Cemetery in Catlin.

Visitation is from 5-7pm on Tuesday at Robison Chapel. The family requests casual attire, memorials in his memory to the Vermilion Heritage Foundation for the “Fischer Theater” on-line condolences at www.
