Ronald Emmett Eldred, 86, of South Haven, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his home. He was born July 31, 1931 to Muryl and Arlene (Stickles) Eldred in Bangor. Ronald honorably served his country in the United States Army.

He married Marilyn Brinks on June 3, 1955 in South Haven. Ronald worked for Everett Piano in South Haven for 17 years and then at General Motors in Kalamazoo for 28 years. Ronald loved hunting and took hunting trips all over the United States.

A skilled craftsman and tinkerer, Ronald also enjoyed refurbishing old campers. He is preceded in death along with his parents by a brother – Muryl Eldred, Jr. Ronald is survived by his wife of 63 years – Marilyn Eldred of South Haven, children – Renee (Scott) Shelton of South Haven, Rhonda Dawley of Conroe, Texas, and Sandy (Awn) Ressler of Montgomery, Texas, grandchildren – Elise (Fred) Uytioco, Julaine (Nick) Denny, Nickolas (Laura) Shelton, Rachel Smith, and Jordan (Kate) Umbra, great grandchildren – Makayla, Mason, Lorelei, Stella, Maliegh, Liam, Giddeon, and Helen, siblings – Arthur Eldred of Scottsdale, Arizona, Frank Eldred of South Haven, Gene Eldred of San Diego, California, and Beatrice Landry of South Haven. Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in South Haven.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Wilson officiating.
