Billy Ray Wooten, 72, of South Haven, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at his home under Hospice care with his family by his side. He was born September 27, 1945 to Claude Melvin Wooten and Delvia Stadler in Little River, Arkansas. Billy married Barbara Canamore on July 3, 1964.

The shared 54 years in marriage. Billy worked as a hi-lo driver for Chase Manufacturing, General Electric, and Trendway for many years. He had an appreciation for classic cars, recording music, and making home videos with his family.

He was a member of the Lakeshore Church of Christ. He is preceded in death along with his parents by siblings – Howard, Melvin, Lonnie, and Harold Wooten and Louise Shinall, and daughter-in-law – Connie Wooten. Billy is survived by his wife – Barbara Wooten of South Haven, son – Mike (Tina) Wooten of Holland and Janice (John) Hollander of Fennville, siblings – Evelyn Wooten of Chicago, Carolyn (Bud) Eason of Rogers, Arkansas, and Dale (Sandy) Wooten of Tulsa, Oklahoma, four grandchildren – Johnathan Hollander, Justin (Kristin) Hollander, Chrystal Embry, and Storm Wooten, and two great grandchildren – Mckenzi and Landon Bakker.

A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at the Lakeshore Church of Christ, 19979 M140, South Haven, Michigan 49090 with Mr. Holgar Neubauer officiating.
