Ted Krzemen, Sr., 88, of Lacota, passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his home under Hospice Care. He was born June 11, 1929 to Stanley and Katherine (Wegrzyniak) Krzemen in Chicago, Illinois. Teds married Shirley Fike on February 23, 1951.

They shared 64 years of marriage before her passing in 2015. Ted worked for Bohn Aluminum in South Haven for 43 years. Ted was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and trapping.

Ted was known in High School as “Trapper Boy” He is preceded in death along with his parents and wife by siblings – Casimir, John, and Edward Krzemen and Julie Wellington. Ted is survived by his children – Sandy (Ron) Morton of Kalamazoo, Kathy Buck of Gilbert, Arizona, Ted (Joyce) Krzemen of Lacota, Karl (Becky) Krzemen of Saline, Michigan, and Kevin (Brenda) Krzemen of New Port, Michigan, siblings – Helen Biernacki of Lacota and Jeanne Sinnett of Carmel, Indiana, twelve grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the St. Basil Catholic Church in South Haven.

Funeral mass will follow visitation at 11:00 AM at the church with Father Jim Morris officiating. Ted will be laid to rest at Lacota Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Ted’s memory to the Wings of Hope Hospice, 530 Linn St, Allegan, MI 49010.
